Getting carry permit.

The instructor said the state has to have them by 90 days but that they are running pretty quick now.

I wish, my son and I applied at the same time, he has had his for about 5 weeks now, I am over 2 months and still don't have mine. Hopefully it won't be much longer now.

That's strange. If you don't get it within 90 days I would call them and see what's up...

After 60 days certainly, unless there's some trouble spot in one's past, a phone call inquiry seems to shake them loose more often than not.

 

Hell, I had to do i with my renewal, was going on four months, didn't occur to me until I realized I was gonna have to start carrying the letter of receipt along with expired permit in just a few days.

I've called them 3 times, the first time after 4 weeks and they said I wasn't in the system. The next 2 times they said they are still waiting on background check. I will add I am missing a finger on one hand and wonder if that might have held things up on the fingerprinting end, I forgot to ask them that.

HCP card came today, 9 weeks after DMV and fingerprinting. I had to call twice. Both times they said all the info was in and they were just waiting to mail. The last time I called was last
Wed and she said she would try and get it out.

I'd say they are very busy right now. All in all the process was interesting and painless. Even the wait was kind of fun. Thanks again to everyone for answering all my dumb questions :)

Mine ended up being issues with the finger printing. The first time didn't take and they waited 60 days to tell me this. I got them on like day number 89.
