I just looked it up and this 3rd on the agenda today.  Finance Sub is scheduled to meet at 10:30 today.

That is a sweet knife and a great price! I have ordered about 20 times from Blade HQ and they are great guys to deal with

I am indeed!  Same name over there.  I just haven't seen one of these pop up recently.  I'm going to post a WTB soon.

I'm currently bidding on a lifetime cove membership in the auction forum.

"Item 3, House Bill 581 by Chairman Dennis.    This has been moved to the hill.  I hope I don't get writ up on the internet for this one."

I don't know what it means.  But that is what was said.

Rec. For Pass. by s/c ref. to Finance, Ways & Means Committee 04/03/2013

Have no idea what this means.

Just re-read and watched the clip. They passed it to the full Finance committee. Looks like it is still alive.

So...for the dummies amongst us, what does that mean, the "bill moves out"? Goes to the full finance committee? Just trying to figure out if we won, or it's still in the air.

It means that subcommittee passed it and it moves to a discussion and vote in full committee.  From there, it should go to the House floor and from there to the Governor's desk.

Where that (*)#$% will veto it.

Oh crap. So, we're basically playing the waiting game until it get's veto'ed by the governor.

Unless someone knows something I don't, I'm just assuming it has no chance of him approving it.

I wouldn't worry about the Gov.  The majorites in both houses are big enough to override his veto, and he learned that with the "guns in bars" fiasco.

Sweeeeet. Got a CS Spartan, Gun Sight (the big model, not sure of the name) I'd like to carry and want a Benchmade Auto opener.

Who pushed for switchblades to still be illegal to carry at schools?  Wasn't it some silly police chiefs group?  What was their reason?  We should have pushed harder to legalize this so that someone can't get charged at a school over a knife.

That was previous Guv, not Haslam.

Does anyone know who said the red part in the quote above?

So, do we need to write the full committee like we did the sub committee?
