Buying first ak4.what to look for

I may be purchasing an Centurion 39 this weekend. I never never owned an Ak47. Only shot one a handful of times. What do I need to look for ? whatch out for? it looks to be in pretty good shape.

Canted sights are generally the main issue, fortunately they are extremely easy to fix, you just lay the rifle on its side & wack the sight into position until it straightens out with a weighted plastic, rubber or rawhide mallet.

Next common problem is the top of the bolt rubbing up against the underside of the dust cover, this will usually clear up just with a bit of use, however in extreme cases removing a bit of metal may be necessary.
