Gabby Gifford's Husband and Wayne LaPierre - little common ground in gun control compromise

Recommended Posts

Screw that...we've been compromising since they starting making full auto weapons NFA items in the 30's. How about just STFU and leave us alone....we have plenty of "compromise" already.

plus one.  no more.  they take and take and it does not change anything.

The NRA needs a more skilled speaker and debater than Wayne. Chris Wallace effectively kept him off his game, talked over him and ran the discussion. A better debater would never have let the host stop him from effectively making his points.

Mark Kelly demonstrated what an unthinking liberal he is by talking about what he 'feels' and 'would like to believe' instead of reality. He supports an assault weapons ban and restrictions on magazine size but admitted he hadn't looked at the effectiveness of the previous one. I guess, when history isn't on your side, you should ignore it. He also said "this is no longer about the 2nd Amendment" when that was brought up but 2 minutes later claimed he was "a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment". Why do these insensate fools claim to be such strong supporters of that which they don't comprehend?

compromise is great.  What  are they offering, will they remove the 1930s and 1960s gun laws from the books?

I glanced through it but I could not find what they were offering to us in their "compromise" anyone see it??

Hmm.

He also seems to be full retard, claiming automatic weapons are on the streets.   He is not that dumb, so he must be a liar.

I was a little disappointed in Wayne in that interview. He is an effective speaker but not a master debater. Its sad when Lindsey Graham can make a better case for our rights than Wayne could.

I do not see him as a great speaker either.  He keeps it soft, running a weak PR campaign that is losing on all fronts.  His strategy seems to be to accept the loss in the media, PR, and overall image of the NRA and gun owners while beefing up his bribes to congress.   Effective, but he needs to fight on both fronts, we need better PR.
