Is It Murder To Shoot The Weatherman

Happy Ground Hog Day!  February 2, 2013.

 

Wish I could go whistle pig shooting this morning and be the weatherman murderer.  It looks like from my window, there is a 50/50 chance he will see his shadow here in Monroe Co.  So I guess if he does, there is a 50/50 chance of 6 more weeks of winter.  I think it has been mild regarding cold cold temperatures, but appears that we have had more of the winter precip than in recent years, but none like I recall as a kid.

Our groundhogs didn't see any shadow today, so far, but I doubt they will be out as cold as it is.:D Got a little

dusting in Clarksville. Rare event this season.

Update, I believe any of the whistle pigs in my area definitely did not see their shadow, and were met with a non-forecasted snow.  When I originally wrote this some 12 1/2 hours ago, the sun was partially coming through the window by the computer.   So I guess this is good news, and means Spring is around the corner.  Yea!
