I decided to make a comment describing my recent purchase from RGuns.  Back in December, I found myself needing an AR bolt carrier assembly for a rifle build I have been working on, I found that RGuns was the only place in stock.  The homepage of their website made it very clear that parts orders would be "at least 4 weeks" and not to order if you couldn't wait that long.  They also made it clear that they were not accepting phone calls and that they would honor all orders listed as "in stock" on their website.  I placed an order for a bolt carrier and a bolt, and submitted the order.  In the meantime, I realized I had a brain fart and hadn't ordered the other parts of the bolt carrier group, bit figured that was my bad and I would pick them up later.

Fast forward about 6 weeks.  I had not received any notification about my order nor had I received it.  I did a little Google searching to see if there were any posts out there talking about their shipping times.  What I found were multiple posts about their terrible service and their shady business practices.  One of the worst talked about the "queen b--ch from hell" Tracy, who handles the orders for the company, lied to the customer, canceled his order out of spite, and threatened to have him arrested for harassment if he called back to complain.  I immediately worried I had made a very bad decision to order from them, but planned to give them a little extra time.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a voice message on my cell phone from Tracy about my order.  She advised me that the chrome bolt I had ordered was not available, but I could substitute for a black one for the lower price, the nickel boron one for a little more, or wait until the chrome bolt was in stock.  She also told me to email her back with my order number and decision because their phones are off.  I was a little bummed because I figured I had missed the only opportunity to get the order squared away in a timely manner because I suspect they are getting tons of emails, but I had no other choice, so I sent the email.  I also figured I would take a shot and asked to add 2 each of the small parts for the carrier assembly, even though one of the complaints I read said that they absolutely refuse to allow order changes after they are received.  To my surprise, Tracy called me back the next morning.  She added the items to my order, confirmed my payment.  It took me a couple of minutes to dig out my credit card to confirm so I worried she would be impatient and get nasty - I don't visualize the true queen B from hell to be very patient - but we chatted and she was very friendly.  She confirmed my payment and said it would go out by UPS that night.  I thanked her and told her she was far from the queen B from hell I had read about on the web and she laughed and said, "One of the guys here showed that to me the other day and I couldn't believe it!  I guess you can't please everyone."  And true to her word, my package went out that night and I got it today.

I can't speak to the durability of the parts I ordered, but they appear to be in spec and the fit and finish are what I expected.  I can speak to a positive experience, even though they are slammed with orders.  Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone was on the fence about ordering something from them.

I still tell everyone I meet to avoid DS Arms like the plague.

you must be a mind reader I was going to ask you how your order went, I placed an order for a pistol upper from a different site that showed out of stock on the BCG. Since I recommended them to you I figured I would order one from there as well. Glad it worked out !

I can wait 4 weeks. both the upper I ordered and BCG should arrive around the same time.
I have a scathing review that I am going to post for another online vendor whenever i get a notification that it ships.

I thought about placing an order from them but saw it might be a year to get anything shipped I will see If I can dig that rant up.

Long story short, I ordered a complete upper from them and they sent it to me with a piece of junk bolt carrier group that wasn't one of theirs. When I contacted them about it, they accused me of swapping out their BCG with the trash one and refused to admit they made a mistake. After multiple phone calls and very heated discussions, they finally relented and sent the correct parts. I was so disgusted that I sold the entire rifle to a buddy of mine. As far as I know, it works fine, but I was very peeved that I was accused of being dishonest and they admit no mistake on their part.

Just searched for info on this company and saw this thread. I'm about to pull the trigger on a stripped upper from these guys. I was trying to get a spikes upper, but haven't been able to find them anywhere and I'm getting a little impatient. RGuns is showing uppers as in stock, and there is nothing on their home page indicating a shortage of anything other than lowers, so I'm gonna give this one a shot and pray it arrives inside of 8 weeks. Their page does indicate that they are behind on getting items shipped, which is understandable, but I'm a little worried about ordering something then finding out later it'll take 6 months to get here.

Just like lowers I'm sure they're forged at the same place as other name brands.

Well, remember there are three types of jobs...good, fast, and cheap.  You can have any combo of two.

Yes, but when a site says "in stock" I assume that to mean the items are actually in stock and can be shipped in a timely manner. The shortage on parts right now is unprecedented, but that doesn't mean simple customer service steps can't be taken. I wouldn't mind if it takes a while to ship, but I would appreciate a disclaimer before purchase which states an approximate time line, especially when their home page specifically mentions certain items that will take 2 months. That would lead me to believe that items NOT listed are not subject to the same length of wait time. We'll see. It's been a week since I ordered and have only got a confirmation email.

If it said "in-stock", I would expect 4 to 6 weeks.  That sucks, I know.  But they do seem to come through.  I am in 4 weeks to a BCG now, but I am only paying $115 for it.  Of course, If I never get it, it won't be a good deal.  I recently got an upper receiver that I ordered 6 weeks earlier from them, but they didn't charge me until it shipped, and the price was pre-panic.

Yeah, I'm not sweating anything, I just like to be informed so that I can make plans. I was looking to do a range trip the first weekend of April and would like to have my upper built so I can test fire it. Some of us have to plan even simple range trips weeks in advance and it sucks not being able to do so due to poor information flow.

I bought a 20in bull barrel upper from them in DEC an got it in FEB. It is marked RGuns 1/8 .556 and looks good. It only holds 3moa with green tip but with FED GMM 69grain is holding a true 1/4 moa. With BH 77 grian 1/2 to 3/4 moa. the 69 and 77 poi is close but the 62 GT poi is 3 inches high.  Just strange that there is such a difference between ammo. My service rifle uppers are 1/8 and at 100 the poi is really close and 62GT will hold 1.5 moa. I question if the chamber is really 556. I think it might be 223. It was a good buy

Not that I am aware but but their BCG's are marked RG (according to the interwebz).  Palmetto State was shipping them at one point recently.

I have one, and indeed there is a RG stamped on the backside. I grabbed it as a spare through Sportsman's Guide at the beginning of the panic after Sandy Hook when parts starting drying up, $134.

It wasn't billed on SG as any brand at all, but specs looked good, M16 carrier. When it arrived sure enough was R Guns in plastic hang package.

Yeah, I got a few of those before Sandy Hook.  I knew of the RG stampings, but didn't know if that meant they were made by RG, or if they can be added later, kind of like lower receiver roll marks.  I know Palmetto's CHF barrels are made by FN, but they are stamped PSA...so didn't know if the same applied for BCG's.
