Details:

There is going to be a Pro 2nd Amendment gathering at the Blount County Courthouse in Maryville, TN on Saturday, February 9th at 12pm noon. This will be an organized, peaceful rally to bring attention to the crisis our country is facing. There will be supportive Military, Law-enforcement and Politicians present. Please dress professionally and do not bring rifles or shotguns. If you have a valid Tennessee carry permit you can carry on the property outside the Court House but not inside or on the property of the adjacent city park.

Haha just saw this thread. I posted a new one before I saw yours but I guess the more the word gets out, the better! I included the link to an article in the Daily Times.

"Why do you need armor piercing bullets, why do you need hi cap mags, why do yo need assault weapons". Is what she had on her sign. I assumed her questions were answered by the end of the rally :) Edited by Static_USMC

Her sign actually said why do you need high capacity "CLIPS". Just goes to show that an individual needs to be more informed on a topic before you attack it.

Were there any LEO present working secuirty if a problem developed?

Many LEOs were there, but many were simply attendees.  The  organizer of the rally is a LEO.  The County Mayor was the keynote speaker and he asked that the county commisioners join him on the court house steps which all were in attendance and did so.

Can I "like" more than once? :D

I feel silly for going halfway across the state and attending the dinky rally in Nashville, sounds like the Maryville rally was much more productive.  Unfortunately I had a family obligation in Nashville and was unable to make it to the Maryville event, wish I could have been there.

The rally had a front page write-up,with pictures, in the Maryville paper and it was done, in my opinion, with a lot of class and no bias.
