Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago; 221 killed in Iraq, and Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws

in the entire United States. Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago!

Chicago Politicians of Late

President of the United States of America: Barack Hussein Obama (Democrat) Senator: Dick Durbin (Democrat) House

Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr. (Democrat) Governor: Pat Quinn (Democrat) House leader: Mike Madigan (Democrat) Atty. Gen.:

Lisa Madigan (Democrat) [daughter of Mike] Mayor: Rahm Emanuel (Democrat) Former Mayors: The notorious Richard Daleys

(Democrats); father and son who both served as Chicago mayors for a combined period of 43 years. They were considered to have run

the most corrupt political machine in the nations history. Deputy Chief of Staff for Mayor Richard Daly: Valerie Jarrett (Democrat); born

in Shiraz, Iran. She is presently serving as Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama. Past Illinois Governors (all from Chicago): 1)

Rod Blagojevich (Democrat) [presently in prison for extortion and racketeering] 2) Daniel Walker (Democrat) [sentenced to four years

imprisonment for bank fraud, three years for perjury, and probation for false financial statements] 3) Otto Kerner (Democrat)

[convicted on 17 counts of mail fraud, conspiracy, perjury, and related charges] Past U.S. Congressmen (both from Chicago): 1) Mel

Reynolds (Democrat) [convicted and was imprisoned on 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of justice and solicitation of child

pornography. Was also convicted and imprisoned for 15 counts of bank fraud and lying to SEC investigators. Bill Clinton commuted the

sentence for bank fraud and released Reynolds early. He is now seeking the vacated Congressional seat, once held by Jesse

Jackson, Jr.! 2) Dan Rostenkowski (Democrat) [convicted and imprisoned for corruption and mail fraud]

The Leadership in Illinois House and Senate: all Democrats. The Chicago school system is rated as one of the worst in the country, but

the teachers are the highest paid with a very strong union. (Arne Duncan served as Chicago Public Schools Chief Executive Officer

from June 2001 to Dec. 2008, when Barack Obama appointed him to the post of U.S. Secretary of Education, a post that he still holds)

State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country.

Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25%, highest in country.

There is more; much more, but I think you get the picture!

And they can't blame Republicans since there aren't any!

This is the political culture that Obama comes from Illinois and this is his background.

And he is going to fix Washington politics for us?

WHAT A MESS! God Help Us ALL!!

Wow… glad I don’t live in Chicago. I’m curious though, how does that murder rate compare with Memphis?
Posted

The last year data was available (2011)

Memphis had 117 murders which was 17.9 per 100,000

Chicago had 435 murders which was 15.9 per 100,000

I was surprised.

It goes to show both sides that the availability of guns has little to do with crime rates.

I just saw a headline that 4 of Illinois  last 7 Goveners have went to prison.

I think that it has a whole lot more to do with culture and values than it does whether or not guns are illegal in that particular location.  We all know that the criminals will have guns even where they are completely banned.

Chicago's mayors or Illinois' governors?

Sounds like a classy place to live ... if you're a politician anyway. Plenty of people to buy votes from. This is just proof that "their" way doesn't work. Sad thing is ... they ruin one city ... and move on to the next to get away from the crap they stirred up in the previous city.

The state is famous for its ability to breed professional criminals of a truly extraordinary nature.

Just came across that stats for the US as a whole for 2011, 4.7 murders per 100,000 to demonstrate how off the charts these other cities are.

Both are shining examples of the destruction wrought by Johnson's Great Society. Poor, urban populations with family structures dismantled by social welfare programs that push fathers out of the home and promote single parent households. Child rearing is then increasingly taken over by social workers and educators ill equipped for the job. What is left is a dependent class easily manipulated and controlled by their self appointed betters. The men having been rendered redundant in the family are pushed out and are increasingly violent as they were never taught how to manage, control and channel that natural male aggression towards productive means by their absent fathers. They then create and abandon the next generation. Never teaching their progeny what they themselves were never taught. The cycle repeats.

This is what was first tested amongst inner city blacks, and is now being rolled out to the rest of us. Welcome to our future.

Memphis is also kinda unique because so much of the population has moved outside of the city (east). It's the most dramatic 10 year population shift I've seen. I've compared the population density maps with census data. If the outlying population isn't included in the number, it's going to be way higher than a total metro number.

NOTE Shelby County was wrong. Had to look at a map and refresh my memory
