sheep, a bunch of sheep.  that is what they are trying to turn us into.  this is a joke.  but we are going to see more of this stuff coming from our federal government.  just one more thing in the gun control war.  the low information voter thinks like a sheep.

Lordy. If someone actually used scissors to defend themselves, then we'd have to be licensed to own scissors. And Heaven forbid you need left handed scissors, that would require a tax stamp.

I have quick access to a large stapler at work but it holds more than 10 staples. Is that legal for self defense? Would that be considered an assault stapler?

I wonder if they'll arm themselves with scissors when they storm the building to locate the gunman that already killed everyone he wants to and then blew his own brains out?

I'm not sure which is sadder...

The fact that DHS released this with the approval of some Bureaucrat; or that some percentage of the population will think this is a good idea.

I have the scissors, but I'm going to have to get an armor plated desk to climb under when they come at me with

those select fire M4's. I have a feeling it will more likely be someone from DHS attacking me more than a criminal,

at this point. The criminals have been leaving me alone for a while. :D

Maybe I could get an Airsoft M4. :D

If you didn't know before now how stupid, dumba**, and illogical these liberal democrats are, now you've got a vivid picture, and most certainly, you cannot deny that their asinine logic is really a clear and present danger to our country. Edited by ThePunisher

The TSA won't have to update any signage since we already know we are not allowed to take scissors on a plane. That alone will save the taxpayers a bundle.

I was planning on going to the quilt shop this weekend. I probably won't be able to get a parking place  - everyone will be buying scissors. That being said, I just realized I am ahead of the curve in the scissor department and have quite the arsenal already built up. I even have a nice set of applique scissors I can use as my mouse scissors.

Idiots.

Pinking Shears fall under Heavy Millinery. You would have to have a class III license to carry them and you would have to take a 6 hour training course and be re-certified every 6 months. They would be a lot of trouble. You can get the same piercing power with a pair of 9 inch tailors shears. If your budget allows, go for the full metal ones, don't fool with the lightweight composite handled ones. Sure, composites are lighter and easier to conceal, but they have a high failure rate if you hit a bone.

Keep a broom handle accessible as well so you can convert the scissors into a Pike or spear. Unless that will require an AOW stamp.

But if you use them over and over aren't they considered assault scissors?

Just say-en. You know how politicians think.

Have to apply for a class III permit to carry those.

Holy moly batman, they need to teach people how to bust out windows with chairs and GTFO of the building, not hide under a desk and pull a trash can in front of you.

For the safety of the children always carry toenail clippers in an ankle holster as a backup.
