Nice observation Mac. I've wondered what his avatar was about several times. 

 

Actually, can't claim to be that astute, I PM'd him once just to ask. :)

 

Mainly too small to tell what it was on his posts running at 1600x900, I thought it looked like Japanese performance art.

 

I figgered out at some point that if not sized down by user before uploading, the images are larger on the person's profile page, like the one I posted above.

makes me feel old,  I remember it being in the news.  I was a senior in high school.  Rick Monday was a pretty fair ball player but played for the Cubs and Dodgers, two teams I did not like much.
