I wonder if that statement is true or if he had an M1A. The guy he is talking about is Philip Hernandez, but I couldn't find any info on the rifle. He opened fire on cops during a traffic stop and they shot him dead. No one else was injured in that shootout, so I’m curious who he thought was outgunned.

Amen!  I was just thinking exactly that.  In 20 years this country is going to be a whole lot different.  We will have either taken it back from the whacko's and restored it to be free for everyone, or it will be a total police state communist country.  It's time to get out of the gray area and define the lines very clearly.
