I have heard about this on a radio show i usually listen to via podcast. It might be a better alternative to Paypal. Bitcoin, and yes you can get them at most banks and walgreens even.

Unfortunately, bitcoin exchanges have their own myriad of problems.

 

It's been hacked. Not just once. Oh, and again.

 

That's enough to turn me off, at least for now. It's too young for me to trust it much.

I am aware of the hack, but about anything can be hacked. I think this is an alternative for those who don't want to use paypal and don't always have a credit card handy. Some people are still skeptical of buying things online with a credit card. CVS, Walgreens and some banks even will let you buy Bitcoins from them and have them deposited in your account.

 

I just got the bitcoin wallet, going to try to get some next pay period.
