Well that is a really nice shoulder fired cannon. Any idea what kind of foot pound energy is generated?

Lot of variables on that but on avg aproximatly 12000 - 15000 ft lbs at the muzzle Edited by jphillips63

Where do you shoot at?

I have a Barrett 82A1, I shoot at Terrys in Manchester and a freinds farm in Moore county, longest shot is 400yrd+/-

I luv spotting for my 14yr old son, I can't ever see the bullet impact because the shock wave scares the hell out of me AND he gives me a 5 second warning for when he is about to pull the trigger...He shoots from the prone position and I'm in a chair 10' behind him..

I should give up the spoting scope and buy some APIT and use binoculars...LOL

The problem with owning and shooting a 50 is the the back drop what's back there to stop the bullet? I shot into the woods which were about 400 yards deep but then I thought one day what if someone was there and I didn't know it? Now the rifle is mostly a safe queen and only time I do shoot it is when I meet up with my buddies in Milan GA where we shoot it out past a mile.

Very nice rifle!

What scope?

When I ever get some time, Johnny, you and I need to meet up at Terry's! Three 50 BMG's should help make some thunder on a sunny day!
