Eotech magnifiers

Does anyone have opinions on magnifiers for eotechs? Is it best to get an eotech branded magnifier or are there better options out there?

I have one of the new G33 magnifiers and it's awesome.  It focuses like a binocular, has adjustment knobs to center the reticle in the view, and the flip to side mount has retention so it doesn't flap around like the older one's would.  I highly recommend spending the money on the genuine Eotech unit over a knock off, however I think Vortex makes a magnifier for Eotech's also that's less expensive.  I can't attest to the quality of it as I've never held one in person.  I have been happy with some other Vortex products I own though.   Good luck!

Can't comment on the other brands but I also have the Eotech magnifier. It's very clear and makes shooting at 300 yards a whole lot easier.

I have a vortex magnifier and it is decent, but a better option is the long eye relief magnifier that Primary Arms sells.  I have two of these and am VERY happy with them.  I run one with a Aimpoint Comp M4 on my Scar 17, and there is no problem with eye-bump.  Clarity is good to at a fraction of the cost of the eotech.  https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_3X_Long_Eye_Relief_Red_Dot_Magnifier_p/pa3xlersm01.htm .  It also has adjustment to allow you to center the reticle.

 

Note, the VORTEX I have is the older model with the rubber armor.  Looks like they have a new one out.  Not sure how well it works.

I ordered my eotech from primary arms and it came with a 3x primary arms magnifier with it. Works just fine with the eotech and I've never had a problem with it. The eotech magnifier is probably better quality, but the price of the primary arms can't be beat.

I made the mistake of buying a less expensive brand... waste of money, I'll get EO next time.
