Not exactly zombies persay, but they're wights which i would consider zombies of sorts.

Who's ready for the next seaons on Game of Thrones? I started reading the books about 6 months before the show started. I just picked them up on recommendation from a friend, I had no idea HBO was making a series. I finished book 4 with 15 days to spare before book 5 released and have since read it as well. I love this series. Here's to hoping George actually lives long enough to finish the damn thing!

He's getting on up there in age and I understand that he also touchy about everybody questioning his ability to finish... Great show though.

HBO runs the story line fast, much quicker than the book... My favorite character is the 'Dwarf ', I hope he will take it all, but the way the books are written, just when a character gets your attention he gets whacked. So the Dwarf is probably doomed.

My wife got into after netflixing the first season, which is odd because she isn't into fantasy/sci-fi or whatever it's considered. But the story is really good and they develop the characters well. Of course, Netflix runs so far behind in stuff we haven't even started the second season yet and I'm wanting to see the dragon chick topless more.

Tyrion, yea he's a great character. it certainly isn't a "feel good" story by any means, but never count out ole Tyrion, he's crafty.

I didn't even realize it was on netflix. My wife is the exact same way but she loves game of thrones. I've actually got her into doing the audio books as well. As the series progresses though, magic becomes a bit more infused into the story, which isn't her thing, I'm curious to see how she'll react.

We still Netflix the old fashioned way by getting it in the mail.

we bought season 1 so i imagine we'll buy season 2 as well. it's worth the rewatch, at least for me.

I haven't followed up on netflix since they tried to pull off the split and quickly realized it was a bad idea. I have an account but if you go to our recommended page it's nothing but rugrats, woody wood pecker and other assorted kids shows. in fact the DVR is nothing but kids shows as well. Why did i have kids again?

Great show and book series.  I'm current on the show and finished A dance with dragons a month or so ago. Waiting for my next fix if you will.

George released a Theon chapter from the Winds of Winter on his site. it was removed and replaced by an Arianne chapter not long ago.

That should give you the "needle in the vein". :)

That's George's, well, NOT a blog... I go there once every few weeks to see what he's up to. It's usually brief and you occasionally get tidbits of story, trailers for the show, etc.

Checked it out and like you said - picked up some tidbits.

My wife, like TMF's, was really never a sifi or fantasy fan. But she's gotten into several things that have surprised me lately.

She liked Spartacus; I didn't. We both loved Homeland. She HATES Walking Dead. But came in last week and asked if I'd seen Throne of Bones(as she called it)?

After deciphering what she said, I got on Amazon and found Season 1 shipped for less than 20 bucks. We start it this weekend.

After she finishes the last 2 seasons of The Closer.

Strange tastes...this woman has.

Hey at least you can agree on some things. That's more than a lot of couples can say :D

I'm beginning to have doubts. He's gonna have to reign in his vision to finish.

BTW...I can't believe you used your Glamour Shots photo as your screen pic. You don't look that good in real life.

My wife also enjoys Spartacus, which was surprising. I think it's just for the half naked dudes though. Starz really figured out how to appeal to both crowds with that show.... nude Lucy Lawless. I'm pretty sure she's gonna be banging hot when she's 80.

Sadly enough this is just a photo I had readily available, meaning yes, for whatever reason, I had it saved.

The good news about George is that HBO knows the ending. He had to give it up in case he wasn't able to finish the books.

My wife is the same way - she actually prompts me for Spartacus. Also, yes I have to agree Lucy will still be hot probably at 80.
