Recycle Mosin Ammo Crate

Recommended Posts

So I just purchased my first crate of surplus mosin ammo, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with the wood crate and the spam cans after I use up all the ammo...

Right now, all I can come up with is turning the wood crate into a shelf/cabinet to store my gun cleaning supplies in, over top of my workbench.
And maybe use the spam cans as empty brass containers for my 9mm and 45ACP, until I can start reloading.

So does anybody else have any clever ways to reuse these items? I hate to throw them out, especially being historical pieces

Out of the half dozen of so crates of mosin food, I've never had a crate that looked that good. Most of mine were beat to heck and coming apart or had nasty fiberboard lids. I'm jealous.

I do have a Mosin 91/30 crate that is scheduled to become a coffee table though. (I bought 20 rifles for the crate)
