Gorgeous!  I've been thinking of a build in 6 PPC.  Any experience with that chambering?

Yes I own a few and for short range they are probably most accurate cartridge to date

When you say short range, what distance do you see results start to diminish?  I'd like to build I light recoil, decent range capable bolt, but if it's sketchy beyond 500 or so I may look elsewhere cartridge whys.

300 yards beyond that they do get sketchy. Accuracy is accuracy regardless but using 52 grn bullets accuracy deminishes rapidly beyond 300 yards. Your best bet is a 6 BR using a 8 twist barrel and a 105 grain VLD. Unless you want to shoot light bullets then I'd say go wit hsomething like a .243 AI and 70 -80 grn bullets

6BR was the other main consideration.  Specifically the Savage F Class. Thanks for your input.  Do you shoot around here (Mid TN) anywhere?

Nice. I could have several million sitting in the bank and I still couldn't get away with buying stuff like this and devoting the time to shooting and reloading. My wife would have my azz. Maybe when the kids get older and go to college.... I hope. Edited by TMF

Maybe that's why I'm not married now? Hmmmmm could be a connection to that.

Ha, well then you are free to proceed!  I certainly wouldn't trade what I have to have all the toys I'd have if I was a bachelor, but man, I wish the two worlds could coexist just a little bit.
