Help changing sights on a Glock.

I've got some new night sights and I want to get them put on my G30. Problem is, with my work schedule(graveyard shift) I can never actually get to a gun shop when a gunsmith is actually there. Can anyone give me any ideas to alternatives? Thanks!

If you don't have a sight tool it is a bit of a pain. Also need the little socket wrench for the front sight. If you don't feel comfortable take it to a shop to have it done.

I wish I could. Because of work though the only real time I have off is Sunday afternoon and the few shops I know that are open Sunday their gunsmiths don't work that day. I'm hoping to find someone on here that's somewhat local that is willing to do it and i'll pass them a $20 and say thanks.

Good needle nosed pliers will get that front sight on without too much hassle. I've used the vise and punch several

times with good results.

Spring City.

Not exactly local, but if you want to ship the slide and sights to me, I will do it for cost of return shipping.

There ya go!  Kudos Pops! Still should be within your $20 offer ;o)

If you happen to be up by Knoxville anytime, I'll put them on for free as well.

Good luck!

Nothing to it.  You don't need a gunsmith.  I know two or three shops that install them for free when you buy the sights.  It takes about 5min and the idiot working the counter can do it easily.

Using the drift punch and hammer method is a risky way to install tritiums anyway.

Agreed. Jeff Walle did both of mine that way, but I trust him to know what he's doing.

Send me your address and I will send you my MGW rear sight mover tool and a nut driver for the front sight. Send them back to me when you can.  The sight mover tool is easy to use, and I am sure there is a youtube video on how to change the sights.

Thanks for all the help guys, I'd still rather not try it myself though, lol.

I can get to Knoxville on most Saturdays. That might actually be feasible.
