Can we be more creative than "D-bag?"

Nimrod has never worked for me, and don't even understand how it came  to be a pejorative in the first place.

It has meant "hunter" in standard language like forever. Since it comes from Nimrod, a grandson of Noah, mentioned in Genesis and elsewhere therein.

You have to look outside of the bible and into other text's to understand calling someone a Nimrod.  I think this sums up several of our elected leaders very well  "He also gradually changed the government into tyranny, seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his power"  from the book of Jubilees.

I'm personally fond of making random statements on the spot, as in, "May the bird of paradise leave a particularly aggressive fungus in your southbound exit."

And yes, I just made that up as I was typing...

If not a curse word, I seem to use the term "twat waffle" most often.

Edit: Silly filters...starts with a "T" ends with a "wat".

Ah, most elucidating. Nonetheless, the way it's used now as "dweeb" or "idiot" or "nut case" doesn't really logically follow from that, unless we used it to mean "evildoer", or "tyrant" or somesuch.

Hey, Elmer Fudd was even referred to as a nimrod, but not as the pejorative; and may have been where I first heard the word to look up as a kidnick.

Ah, but you couldn't have come up with it without the years of influence from Carnac the Magnificent, eh?

My favorite from that source:

"May the fleas of 1000 camels infest your armpits."

I'll bet he would have replaced the word armpit with the word crotch if the NBC censors had let him.

I prefer, "May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your genitals and your arms be too short to scratch."
