Go figure, in a country that felt the need to disarm its citizens, they are now trying to arm the citizens for self-defense.

I guess they are finding out that government And police is not a first line defense!

How nice of them to figure that out, after they disarmed the population and told them there was no need for guns.  This is where our country should be doing arms shipments - call it "operation uzi's for the girls". We can use it for a government funded study on crime, at the end of 5 years we will count the percent of rapes per 100k, and also how many thugs have been removed from society. If we can just save one girl, we have to do everything possible, right? :)
