too many server redirects

I am receiving the "too many server redirects" error message more frequently lately, it used to only happen in about 1 thread out of 100, the last couple of weeks it has jumped to around 1 out of every 20 threads.

I don't know if it is something on my end or on your guy's end, but it doesn't happen on any of the other forums that I am a member of so I thought I would give you guys a "heads up" just incase other folks are having the same problem.

Btw, I always access the forums from an Android phone, using the forum's mobile format (no 3rd party software involved) so hothat might help figure out what might be the cause.

Haven't seen that problem before.  I'll check around but based on the fact that I pretty much wear it out from four or five different devices, I'm going to say it might be on your side of things.

Looks like it's Android specific and might have something to do with available memory on your device.

I use my Iphone about 1/2 the time and it is more reliable than my house connection. And my house connection is dead nuts reliable. I can remember the last time I seen errors. It was slow a month or so ago but other than that no problems.

Lots of hits for this; all around Android, almost all suggest a reboot of the device is necessary or that the device is running short on RAM.

Thanks guys, it sounds as if it's on my end then, so I'll research it & see if I can get it corrected.

It is "thread specific" meaning that it doesn't occur randomly, it happens when I try to open certain threads & only those certain threads, it used to be fairly rare, but the frequency has increased to the point where I thought I should mention & try to correct it.

I'll keep you guys updated with what if any solution I find, just incase if anyone else has this problem in the future.

I had the same issue a while back while browsing with my Android device. It lasted a few days or so, then stopped. I didn't make any changes on my end to solve the problem, so I'm not sure what caused it or why it stopped. Like you, mine was also thread specific.
