Not a great price, but better than a dollar-a-round locally... Hoping I can support a vendor here in Chattanooga soon, but I picked up a little to try my new-to-me Mini 14 next week with.

Since I didn't have a Mini 14 until last week, I never paid any attention to 223 prices.

 

Could any of you weigh in on what prices were before "the scare?"

 

I want to be able to have a benchmark to compare to as things settle down.

 

Anyone remember?

I got some good deals at Cabelas right before all this nonsense.  After the election I got 500 PMC 223 for 155 shipped, then right around the shooting (might've even been after) I got 500 Herters 223 for 112 shipped.  That was my "in before the lock."

 

Course it was even less back before 2007 or so.  Prices that'll make you cry now just thinking about it.

I'm so new to the 223 game I'm not sure when to pull the trigger. I figured .50/round was probably going to be the norm for the next couple months, but hopefully I'm wrong!
