USA Today column: Obama "out of step" with public opinion

After looking who wrote it, I'm surprised the rag printed. It sure isn't in line with Gannet's politics. They still own USA Today,

don't they? Surprisingly in step with the people. I wonder how many will actually read it?

Good article!

Obama never cared what the people wanted. He only cares for one thing.

Communism, and him in charge.

Eh... I don't think he's that much of an ego-maniac.  I think he's a true believer and just wants to see us become a Socialist Republic, regardless of who's in charge.

Now the people who have elevated him to godlike status and are trying to get the 22nd Amendment repealed so that Obama can stay in power for years and years and years like the other Hussein, those guys are the ones who want him and only him in charge.

He was trained all his life by commies, David. Maybe he doesn't, but after a while some of it sticks. Even in his books,

he admits it. I read 'em. That is, whoever wrote them, I read 'em. :D And his style and tactic is so much like people like

Hitler, wait until he gains his real power like Hitler. He hadn't had his night of long knives, yet.

Controversy sells newspapers.  And Glenn Reynolds is one of their normal columnists.

It really doesn't matter what Obama wants because he cannot make and pass laws on his own. This is something that I'm sure annoys him. You can bet that the Representatives and Senators care what the mainstream opinion is, and I'd wager they know exactly what happened to the majority of politicians who voted for the last AWB.

Reynolds did a good job. It was one issue I would have picked up at a motel. I usually don't read newspapers. Been a long time.

Yeh, the Dems in Congress who swoon at him remember that lesson well. That's why Reid said Feinstein's bill was probably dead.

He knew the House wouldn't go for it. That article kind of dumps all those so-called opinion polls about gun control to ashes, too.

At least someone is paying attention and wrote about it.

Hitler was a paranoid and shrewd narcissicist. Stalin was similar but more pragmatic in his rule. Obama's narcissism is above theirs,

but without the teeth. He has to have someone tell him what his teachings were meant for. He's not nearly as intelligent as the other

two. The only lesson the Dems and Obama learned from Hitler was the use of propaganda and from Stalin, incrementalism. Obama

won't make it to the stage of mass killings like the other two did, but will, if left unchecked, leave that up to someone else. He is a

mere ideologue who doesn't know what he's doing. If his handlers let him completely loose, all he would do is destroy the Democrat

Party, and that won't be allowed.

A puppet.

A puppet, or higher class "useful idiot".

Is that anything like Kristallnacht?

In today's Micro Economics college courses, they call that a "mixed economy" when it has a combination of Capitalism and Socialism.

No, they were two different event's weren't they? Night of the long knives was Hitler's way of consolidating power and getting rid of

his opposition in 1934. Kristallnacht was in 1938, and I didn't remember it, had to look it up, but it was German mobs breaking up

synagogues, breaking crystal, or glass. I didn't recognize that term, thanks.

Out of step?? And the majority voted for him? Balderdash.

However, many of his supporters never believed he would ever go for guns.  He was getting heat from the Brady Campaign and Bloomberg for not going after guns.  Many of us knew his true colors, but I know people who STILL say he's not trying to ban guns.

Well.............he got more votes. Take that as you wish.........................

The step of the majority of whom? Congress, or his dependents? Big difference.
