Morning news reported here that the City of Knoxville is trading in their Glock .40's and will be issuing the Sig .45's. Model wasn't specified.

I think the P220 is the chosen model.

I heard a shop in Dandridge will be doing the deal with KPD and will be trading for all of KPD's Glocks and .40 ammo.

I will get one, probably several months after the release, just to make sure there are no complaints.  BTW, only if I can have high capacity mags!

I'm with you... I'm thinking SAS.  Looks like they will ship in March.

I gotta say I'm really digging to tactical version with 14 round extended magazine and threaded barrel... read elsewhere that the 227 will accept 220 uppers

Handled one at SHOT... very nice.  Smart taking the "M&P route" and going with a 10-round mag and a much slimmer grip (it felt barely wider then the 220) rather than the Glock/Para/FN route and making a 14 round 2x4 with a trigger.  If they ever do a 227 model like one of the super nice SAO 220s, I might buy.
