I've seen several times reading this legislation, the term "bullet buttons."  I've never heard this term before.  After doing a little research it sounds as if a bullet button something that is used in commie states like Kalifornia?  If I understand correctly they can not use a conventional mag release, instead you have to have a special tool to release and magazine.  Under the proposed legislation bullet buttons would be illegal and magazine would be fixed completely.  Am I understanding this correctly?

Probably.   Bullet buttons are supposed to prevent rapid mag changes, and were allowed to get around the ban / rules in CA.   Because they allowed people to retain their guns, they would have to be made illegal under the new law, of course....  because the goal is total disarming of the people.

Yes, I suspect the good liberals would LOVE It if our ARs had a 5 round box mag that you loaded by opening the chamber and shoving them in one by one like a bolt action.

By all means contact them with assertion and demand they vote against any kind of legislation, even in the face of being primaried.

But remember to be polite in your assertions. And also remember that a bill has to be presented to be considered. Feinstein's

bill has little chance seeing the light of day in the House, much less getting passed in the Senate. They aren't that stupid on the

same issue that changed the makeup of Congress in 94.

This really needs to die in the Senate. I wanna see feinstein's head explode on national TV

C-SPAN's ratings would go up.

And it's exactly why everyone needs to start contacting people instead of taking a lazy stance thinking that it just won't go through. We already learned a lesson about how when people just stay at home and don't take action in a zero sum event, and that the absence of their vote equals a vote for the opposing team.

It's hard to say what Reid has on his mind. The only reason he got reelected was because of NRA backing. I'm sure the NRA is reminding him of this. I'm sure publicly he's going to try and play both sides. Who knows what's going on privately.

I wish I could get a better response from Corker, and has anyone got a response from Alexander yet?

My next vote for these two will be based on their vote regarding this issue. If they have read my emails and listened to my messages, then they are aware of this. In fact, I'll write them again now.

Biden's running for the hills away from any talk of gun bans and praying for the magazine ban.  But, he says we don't need them after an earthquake.  A shotgun'll do nicely.  Oh, and he's really bad at math:

"Biden said that gunman, who had 30-round magazines, had to swap out "four or five times." If limited to 10 rounds, however, the vice president argued the gunman would have had to swap out 25 or 30 times."

I think Alexander better REALLY consider how he votes on this one, because, his butt may be moving back to Tennessee in 2014, with a bad decision on an AWB vote.
