Restaurants Serving Alcohol

I recently just became old enough to get my hand gun permit.  To my knowledge, a person with a permit can now carry their handgun in a restaurant that is serving alcohol as long as that person is not consuming alcohol.  A local restaurant I go to does not have a sign cleary posted at the entrance prohibiting firearms on the property but inside the store by the register they have a sign with the old law saying "It is unlawful to carry where alcohol is being served."

 

This is an old law right? And that sign can not be their way of prohibiting it correct? Because it is not at the entrance?  This may be an easy question for some but like I said I am new to the game and any help is appreciated.

Yeh, good to go, but if the owner says otherwise, just be polite and dump the weapon in your car or leave.

That sign references a law which has been repealed.  But for some reason it's still on the checklist for the ABC inspectors...  So they won't renew your license if you don't have it up.

 

Yes, the government is just that crazy.

 

Don't mind the sign, and don't think the owner is anti gun because the sign is up.
