Hi,

I have been in Hendersonville since 1993 having moved from Arlington TX for business.  Even though I went to the "other" UT (sorry but I like burnt orange better) I still feel a kinship to the State of Tennessee since Texas owes a lot to the Volunteer State!

I have lurked on this website in the past but since I have a recently purchased Walther PPQ 9mm I felt it was time to join the fun.  I should be getting my CCL within the next 6-8 weeks (we will see how that works out) and my wife has had hers for over 10 years.  Why I waited so long I don't know it's done.  With the current political I have seen Glock 19s go from $549 to over $900 on Gunbroker.com and ammunition is like gold maybe even more valuable!

Anyway I look forward to many years of informative conversations about guns!

Welcome to TGO. Make yourself at home and enjoy your stay.

You can probably find a better deal on a Glock here in the TGO Classifieds section.

Well  Mrs. Tennesseehorn and I arrived at the Gun and Knife show here in Hendersonville this past Saturday (1/19/13) two hours before it opened so we could be the first in line looking for a Gen 4 Glock 19.  We paid our money and walked 15 feet to the first table and asked about a Glock 19 and he had TWO OF THEM!  We bought one (should've bought the other one too) and paid about $700 after tax and NCIS which was a little high for my taste but you know what they say about "a bird in the hand".  We were done at 9:10 and just strolled around for about another hour.  The line behind us was ridiculous and I bet the event planners at $10/head made about $100k over the weekend maybe more.

Even though I have ordered and received over 2,000 9mm rounds I am still paranoid that our beloved President will try a slick maneuver to tax ammo out of existence.  That is why I am seriously thinking about reloading but only thinking about it at this point.  I realize that you never save money you just shoot more.
