EB, I am so sorry for your loss. A good dog is just that, ... good. That pain is just proof of the goodness of Chewy. Peace to you and yours.

I have experienced your pain way too many times myself. It never gets any easier and you never forget them. Most of mine have been Labs also, their memory really sticks with you. The best thing is to get another one tomorrow.

I am sorry for your loss because fur babies become family. They can work themselves deep into your hearts and I know it hurts. Please try to think of all the joy the fur baby brought, the good times. Once again I am sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your best friend. My condolences go out to you and your family. My wife and I started fostering abused beagles several years ago, but we never actually learned what the meaning of "foster" is because we fell in love with and kept them all. We are currently down to three beagles and have lost two in the last four years. They are truly my best friends.

The more and more I am around people (and my children), the more I love my beagles.

Thanks everyone! It's been rough on us but I know he is in a much better place.

You WILL see him again my friend, just keep looking forward to that day.

Can I make a deal to see all my past dogs in heaven, but only selected relatives?

Chewbacca's favorite snack was bananas. I bet when I get to the Pearly Gates he will meet me there dragging a bunch of bananas. I just hope he has some peanut butter to go with them!

I've delayed offering my sympaties and condolences as the subject is just to difficult for me. Like many of us, I've been there several times and it most assuredly isn't easy

I know the pain and loss. My friend, it will fade, but your memeories will be with you forever.

So until the two of you meet again at that Rainbow Bridge, take comfort in the love you recieved and the certainty of meeting again.
