Hell, I'd buy a pack of tampons if I could use them as a joke somehow. :D

actually I've had many combat medic tell me tampons are perfect for plugging bullet holes until you can get a casualty to medical atantion. So you may need the for your shtf kit as well.

As an added bonus I knew a guy that survived a roadside bomb/ attack whith such a remidy and the people whith him will never let him live down "wearing a tampon"

If I am bleeding to death, I don't care what product you use to get me stable enough to get to the medic. I would change my name to the product if necessary to survive.

That being said, I think they are a good idea to have in the SHTF kit. Especially if you are married or want to keep the women folk happy.
