No rifle used in sandy hook shooting.

It would be apparent as soon as the cops got into the school. They would see rifle brass on the floor.  If they didn't see .223 brass casings then their was no rifle used.

That was aired on  Aired on December 15, 2012.

There was so many conflicting reports then, it is almost impossible to know which news source to believe.

I've seen all kinds of conflicting reports on this. Who knows what to believe.

I really don't know why it's so complicated unless they are trying to cover something up. The shooter died inside the school. Look at the brass and count the guns inside the school, these are the firearms he used (or at least took into the school to use). Go out to his car and count the guns inside his car, these are the guns he left in his car. Any 10 year old that's ever been around firearms can do that.

with information.

Investigation

A large quantity of unused ammunition was recovered at the school, along with three semi-automatic firearms found with Lanza: a .223-caliber Bushmaster XM-15 rifle, a 10mm Glock 20 SF handgun and a 9mm SIG Sauer handgun.[18][17][19][61] A shotgun was found in the car Lanza had driven to the school.[19] At home, Lanza had access to three more firearms: a .45 Henry repeating rifle, a .30 Enfield rifle, and a .22 Marlin rifle.[11][62][63][64]

The weapons were legally owned by Lanza's mother, who was a gun enthusiast.[65][66] Police said Lanza used the Bushmaster rifle against most of the victims. According to the state's chief medical examiner, H. Wayne Carver, many of the victims were shot multiple times with the same "long weapon"—the Bushmaster rifle.[4][67][68] Under Connecticut law,[69] the 20-year-old Lanza was old enough to carry a long gun,[70] but too young to legally own or carry handguns.[71]

You're confusing 2 separate things. The info the police have and what the media knows.

By the time law enforcement verifies things like what casings are at the scene, the media has lost interest in that info. They've gone on to cover personal info on the shooter, emotional impact on people and what the politicians are saying. They don't waste much time going back to correct the misinformation they put out earlier.

the biggest cover-up is that he shot each kid 2-3 times at least, I saw one report that said 3 was the least.  So he shot empty or nearly 3 mags --- he reloaded mid-stream, so low cap mags would have done nothing.   That is the big bait& switch by the media, that we *know* of.   May be more to it.

good posts all

in retrospect, the news made a very brief, one time statement that there was no rifle in the building, then proceeded with their agenda.

the White House chose to ignore that fact that there was no rifle used and continued to use the event as the catalyst it needed to push forward with it's agenda

and so many questions remain about what really happened that will never be answered...

but i'm preaching to the choir...

So a news report on 15 December claimed that no rifle was used despite the fact ALL reports afterward confirm that a rifle was used.  So, either the earlier report (during all the chaos) was erroneous or this is a conspiracy involving thousands of people who all practice better OPSEC than any intelligence agency ever ever.

If that is the case then this should be easy to believe:

So a news report on 15 December claimed that the shooter's father was killed in the hours before the school shooting.  So, either the earlier report (during all the chaos) was erroneous or the shooter's father has a body double who was already trained to have the same personality, demeanor and voice of the actual father and would likely be part of the same vast conspiracy.

I think all the conspiracy theorists are actual planted by the Obama administration to try and make gun owners look like a bunch of paranoid people who are potentially dangerous and need to be controlled before they do something violent. The real "crisis actors" are the people on the web pushing the conspiracy theories.

And see? People are all too eager to fall into the trap:
