I wasn't sure. I've never ordered ammo online.

I'll take your word for it.

When I purchased from Ammunition to Go, I didn't have to send a fax or anything. They just said by ordering you verify that you are of age, etc.

FWIW, their Brown Bear was about $1 cheaper and I didn't have to mess with faxing or e-mailing my license.

Cheaper Than Dirt does not require any additional paperwork either.

Basically, if they don't have your id, they ship "adult signature required". If they have your id they ship it normally. Midway does not require id. Its mostly the smaller budget wholesalers like aim that require id.

Your right, www.ammunitiontogo.com is $.80 cheaper per 500 rounds.

But, IIRC, their shipping was a more expensive making www.aimsurplus.com a better deal.

Regardless, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on what I thought was a good deal.

If it's not, disregard.

Thanks again for posting...I think I compared the two places and on my total order (1k rounds mixed and some 00 buck) shipping was right in line. The winner for me was not having to deal with scanning in my ID and sending it their way. Regardless of which place you choose, they are both good deals for the Brown Bear!

:P

aim is a great site with fast shipping. Ammo to go is also great but their shipping prices are fishy sometimes. I have found smaller orders to have higher shipping charges then "bulk" orders on more then one occasion.

I've experienced this as well.

Good to know for smaller orders...thanks for the heads up.

"Rabbi has Barnaul and wolf .223 @5.00 a box out the door right now."

Darn, Rabbi, I thought you were supposed to make a little money on your merchandise! B)

Great price!

After a class with LEO folks shooting a bunch of Wolf ammo through AR-15's (and one M-16 with a suppressor), I would say to buy this stuff!

They must have changed their policy then.Back in the late 1900s when I first ordered from them I had to include a copy of my DL on the first order.

8.50 for 50 rounds x 2 + shipping = 25.07

WWB at WallyWorld 18.52 for 100 plus tax (1.71) = 20.23

both 115 grain FMJ.

What am I missing here?

Not everyone like to shop at Walmart.

Actually the .223 ammo is a real good deal, while the 9mm is ~ as WWB.

A couple of things...

1. You compared boxes...I buy in cases, where quantity discounts and shipping are usually a better deal than TN sales tax.

2. This was just a friendly "heads-up." If you do better elsewhere, wonderful (I don't get a kick-back from AIM).

Yeah, I was going to say. A couple boxes its not worth the hassle.

Midway has good shipping. If you wait for a "midway sale" sometimes you make out on a case or 2.
