Couple of local shops around here. Im paying 20 a box for 9mm.

I grow it :)  gotten pretty good at planting a 9mm, and having it sprout babies :)

In all honesty -- I stocked up prior to december.  my main source was sgammo.com and walmart :)

I reload most of it but supplies are as thin as manufactured ammo. .40 ammo is almost as plentyful as it has ever been. .380, .9mm, and 22lr is about the scarcest of all. I have seen one stash of 9mm on shelves and it was the same price as the same brand .40.

My practice ammo comes from the Enfield Ammo & Lawn Maintenance Company.  Carry ammo I buy infrequently and in bulk, usually mail-order, as what I want usually isn't on gunshop shelves.  I haven't bought in 2-3 years.

I'be been able to get any caliber pistol ammo from my local sporting goods store. The only ammo I can't seem to find is 223/556 and 22lr. I'm still only paying about $14-$15/box per 50 rounds of 9mm.

Ammunition to Go; Palmetto State Armory; Lucky Gunner; etc. etc.

Delivered to your door, no gasoline, no sales tax, no inclement weather. These may be the waning days of such luxury.

Edited 1/18 to say I am officially shocked at the bare shelves of the online vendors! My orders were placed early post tragedy when supplies were still there. Wow! Edited by Djay3

Was at Gander and they had all except 223 and 22. 9mm was $44 for 50 though. The rest looked like it was at pre November Gander prices. A little higher than I like but it is still there.

I've got to branch out into the ammo department. I've got the lawn maintenance part down.

Details please?

The only thing I'm finding is 12GA ammo at Wal-Mart. Nothing else can be found online or in stores. Since moving to Florida I don't got shooting nearly as often as I did in TN so I'm saving more than I'm using.

I load my own.

As for 22s, I have two sons, so for years, I'd pick up one of those bulk boxes of 22 shells every time I'd go in a WalMart. They were $7.97 when I started buying them. They finally went up to $8.97, and I was outraged. We're still trying to shoot em all up.

Did find some 9mm carry rounds online ( though $26 for 20 rounds). Haven't bought anything else since before november. I look whenever i'm in a wal-mart or out in a sporting store or gs, but i don't buy. If i ever find the elusive .223 or .22 at a decent price, I'll snatch some up.

Dunhams Sports in Columbia. Good luck finding 22lr though. I can still get 223/556 from one place, but its $14.99/box. I refuse to pay that much.

I've heard a lot about that place. It's said that Caster Munitions overflows with very intuitive information. It's rumored that he may even be a reloading ninja that possesses skills from the dark side that lead to full on casting and handloading. All jokes aside, I must say you're a very skilled guy Caster.

I get all mine from Caster Munitions. A super exclusive, low volume, high quality ammunition maker.

I to have heard of the company, only thing is they wont sell, just give it away.

Now to get some you have to jump on one leg, and clear a 6' fence!

I reload as well, did pick up some 22LR on line before the end of the year.
