Said Goodbye

I had to say goodbye to an old friend today.

After around twenty years i traded in my Ruger p-85 on an older model sig 225. Why the 225? Double stacked autos don't work well with short fingers. That and as my waistline gets larger i thought a slimmer auto would help draw the attention away from the fact that i need to get off my lazy butt.

hahahahahahaha! I totally know what you mean.

congratulations on the new addition.. I hope that the sig gives you many years of faithful service...and that you never need to use it.

Well its a bummer you had to trade in your old buddy, but the 225 will make you a great companion! Im a sig-aholic and your about to be too.

I already was. I love them, but because of the short fingers never replaced the 225 i got scammed out of with a high cap one. I figured a miss with a cheaper pistol is the same with a higher priced one.

The first one i owned i took to a gun show. Carried it in without clips. A vendor convienced me to sell it to a buddy of his, and in turn he would sell me a bull barreled 300 mag for the same price. after i sold the sig the vendor backed out. anyway it was my own fault for being stupid.

I went into a local gun shop this morning and there laid a matching pair. I asked the guy about the former owners, broke them both down. Then made him an offer. My ruger with 8 high cap clips stright up for the sig. He looked at me and said you pay for the background and you got a deal. Seems a husband and wife traded them in on a matching pair of colts.

oof..that's harsh! unscrupulous dealers are a pain..but the good thing is that they usually destroy their client base and allasudden, no one does business with them anymore.

My wife has a sig mosquito..she loves the ergonomics and fit of that little pistol.

I have yet to be able to hit anything with it..I'm so used to a heavier pistol that I look like I have palsy when I shoot it.:)

I keep trying though!:)
