Compromise?

Recommended Posts

It is said compromise is what politics is all about, and no legislation could be passed without it?

When attacks come on our Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights as intended by our founding fathers, what compromise is warranted and / or acceptable?

What's so complicated? The law of our Constitutional Republic is the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, period.

Piece by piece, they are dismantling our founding documents (law) to suit their own personal agenda's and the will of our changing liberal society. It doesn't take the SCOTUS to hear a case of what is constitutional and what is not. A sixth grader could better interpret our founding documents than what is currently in place.

Just my thoughts on an issue folks..

And politics is the Devil's work. Yeh, I can agree with that.

It's because we let them get away with it, Dennis. Good post!

You already know what I think about compromise, don't you? :D

If you'd like to know my definition of compromise here it is:  the process of giving up so much for something you truly want that what you wanted is rendered useless and no longer has the appeal it once did yet you are committed to obtaining it.

Yes, but unless you are a Supreme Court Justice no one really cares what your interpretation is. I don’t really give a rolling rip down a razor blade what our founding fathers would think about any issue; and they would not expect me to. It’s what the American people think. And they put in place options to make that happen.

If it was just a matter of reading it the SCOTUS would be English language professors instead of lawyers.
I don’t want to see “The People” get what they want. We will be disarmed and the 2nd repealed.
