If the US govt was a corporation they would have been bankrupt and closed for business years ago, now they just pay their employees with checks that banks have to cash even if there isnt anything there to back them and write more checks to other countries or get lines of credit for whatever they want and again banks have to cash a govt check even if its gonna bounce so why would they change their ways its not their debt.  I dont have a lot of family left but my mom is trying like most of my friends parents to make sure they dont pass debt on to their kids and possibly leave them something, but the govt is saying screw our kids if they cant pay it off let them suffer the consequences, I seem to remember someone saying our children were our first priority recently, WTF! Seems to me "family values" and "our children's future" is the last thing on their minds in Washington, actually I havent heard one supposed leader that has said anything about who will have to pay for the debt they are accruing at an exponential rate. Maybe Im crazy does anybody else think Im wrong?

The Republicans should support ending the debt ceiling with the Democrats. Right after the Dems help pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Yeah, let me know how that works out.
