As far as which gun, I'll be taking the Hi point.

Don't worry, the course is cake. The hard part is the weeks of disappointing mailbox checks. You go out there hoping for an envelope from DOS, and find a few bills. It's like a double whammy.

well, I just got back. I passed. I didn't realize exactly how easy the test was. I wound up taking the qualification test with a little Browning .22 rental gun, but at the distances required, I could have just brought a straw and some paper....

no that wasn't it. basically I was under the impression that the qualification was much harder than it actually was. I had underestimated the size of the targets and had bought some smaller targets to practice with. when shooting at 15 yards ( which is generally where I shoot at anyways) I normally had a "rogue" bullet in the 16 or so that I would shoot each time, and I was a little paranoid about failing the qualification. turned out the targets were about 3 times the size of the ones that I had bought, but I didn't notice the differece until I had already gotten onto the range.
