Some issues with my suppressors

Recommended Posts

Posted

This being my first post, I apologize if I don't make sense 100%.

My two setups:

  • Glock 19, Storm Lake threaded barrel, Cobra M2 can, 147 gr FMJ brass
  • HK 45C, factory threaded barrel, Gemtech Backslide, 230 gr FMJ brass

I'm having the same issue with both. After the first shot, the pistol will not cycle to the next round. I'm firing both pistols with my arms out, no limp wrist. The same issue comes up when others fire the pistols as well.

If the round does cycle, it will stovepipe. Is this a gas pressure issue? I've talked to the guys over @ Nashville Armory and Robert @ Gun's and Leather. I don't use the cans often so I forget to inquire more about it.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

There should be an internal spring that unloads the weight of the suppressor when the pistol is fired. Some pistol suppressors have a solid barrel spacer for use on a rifle chambered in a pistol caliber. It will not cycle a handgun very well with the spacer installed.
