New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Monday told a group of Johns Hopkins students that President Obama ought to sidestep the wishes of Congress and order swift new executive gun control measures.

 

Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Monday that President Obama should implement a series of gun control measures through executive action.“There are steps that President Obama can take without congressional approval at any time he chooses with just one stroke of the pen,” Bloomberg told the mixed audience of students and scholars, speaking at the “Gun Policy Summit” at Johns Hopkins University.

Since he's guilty of straw purchases of guns, (and we know THIS administration won't prosecute him), I'm curious if the next one can/will prosecute him? Anyone know the statute of limitations on straw purchases?

Bloomberg has no patience.  He was blowing his horn five seconds after Sandy Hook.  Obama's plans are more long term.  He has four years to get done what he wants, and it's ultimately the same as Bloomberg ---> total ban.  Once he gets to replace one of our 5 gun-friendlies in the SCOTUS he will move another chess piece.  Then if the Dems take Congress, it's checkmate.
