Are we 100% sure NRA authorized the release of this app today or did Medl Mobile the developer, or someone higher up the food chain have an agenda in mind with the timing of the release date. Not that I'm the suspicious sort but take a look at the who's who doing their press releases.

I had the same thought but thought it was a little early to put on my tinfoil hat.  Now is just as good a time as any I suppose.

"Requests for comment from the NRA were not immediately returned Tuesday" seems to be the common comment so far.

Which simply says that regardless of who did what when, this seems to be an officially licensed NRA product, and the NRA was caught flat-footed.

To use a quickly becoming trite word, the "optics" are what they are, and it was at the very least quite a faux pas on the NRA's part. The dumbest freshman in PR 101 would know better.

Agreed I think the release was um off timing wise to say the least, and most of us know the game was probably on a concept table at least a year and a half ago.

I think its funny for the NRA to have a cheesy innocent fun video game versus millions being made from violent Halo or make believe world as its no worst than christian music versus gangsta rap.I agree w Richard R

I sometimes wonder why the powers to be don't go after the sims or some of the fantasy games where one can perform every immoral act imaginable to include pimping children off for sex, shooting cops because they're cops, and running people over walking by on sidewalks with stolen cars... I remember when elizabeth dole, wife of former pres candidate did this in music world and she had to contend with sharon osbourne. As many know we still have rap and rock, the sims and fantasyland.

I hope the NRA makes half of what the game co makes off of halo and call to duty etc.....just because
