price gouging

I worked in Virginia Today and stopped at a few gun stores . Went by Trader Jerry's in the claypool hill mall and they had 33 round Glock mags for $89.99! That is just crazy. Later i was in Pennington gap and stopped at Liberty Sport and Pawn and they had the exact same mags for $17.00. Guess where I spent all of my money?

Glock factory or KCI for $17?

If they were Glock I hope you bought them out and stacked them up like bars of gold.

Maybe you could melt them down, mold them into one "trillion dollar magazine", and deposit it into your safe. That way you'd never have to buy magazines again! Or, does that only pertain to our federal government and treasury law loopholes? :)

gouging only works if some one is so desperate as to pay the outlandish prices.

Gander Mountain stays in business some how. Was in there this afternoon. I couldn't decide if I wanted to laugh hysterically or cry when I saw some of their current prices. $1000 for a PM9.

It was a mixed box some KCI and some Glock. I got what i could afford ( times are tight right now with a baby due by the end of the month)

CONGRADULATIONS

I would love to run across a deal like that even before the current political climate.

I think you were gouging them on the Glock factory mags.

I'm not sure where the line is between gouging and what the market will bear, but judging from what I see in the classifieds here on TGO the market is able to bear quite a lot.  Unbelievable what people are willing to pay.  This tells me that the prices are going to stay high for some time (not come down in six months like a lot of people have said) and will probably go higher.  Especially after the President's speech later on today.
