O still thinks EO ok.

Obama blamed "a fear that's been fanned" by opponents of gun control.

“We’ve seen—for some time now—that those who oppose any common-sense gun-control or gun-safety measures have a pretty effective way of ginning up fear on the part of gun owners that somehow the federal government’s about to take all your guns away," he said. "There’s probably an economic element to that—it obviously is good for business."

He added that "responsible gun owners—people who have a gun for protection, for hunting, for sportsmanship—they don’t have anything to worry about."

Sheww, I was getting worried.  I guess I can sleep better tonight, thanks BO

Yeah, I feel SO much better.

Guess I'll peel off a layer of tinfoil.

I have no idea what will become of this EO talk.  One thing I do know is Obama and his coterie are laughing their collective asses off at us.  All they have to do is just think about some form of gun control and everyone panics.  To me, that only emphasizes in their minds of how much power they wield.

In his world, a 'responsible' gun owner wouldn't own an 'assault weapon'.  The definition of which, I fear, is anything that holds more than 2 rounds, or can penetrate more than 3 layers of wet cardboard.

I disagree. They aren't just thinking about it.

Let's be honest, they are always thinking about it. It's when they start to act on those thoughts that they get blowback.

They seem to be backing off the AWB talk pretty hard, at least publicly. Perhaps someone has read EFAD and suggested it might be a bad idea?

I'd like to hear what a "Legitimate Hunter" is too.

I wanted to know the same thing about "Legitimate Rape". Fact is, Obama doesn't have to worry about being reelected, but all his minions do. The Sandy Hook thing WILL fade. Their gun ban stuff will be there when it does. There will also be MORE shootings after they "fix" everything. If they win this battle, they're still going to lose the war, and a buttload of seats in congress too.

Reread my post, you are misunderstanding my intent.  I said that all they had to do is think about it and everyone one panics.  That is not saying that all they are doing is thinking about it.

They are probably thinking EFAD is doable and want to go to that. It's in their game plan, anyway. Go back and look at how

Hitler started out. Then look at the Bolsheviks. Theirs is only a slower version, and they think much more refined. The goals

are always the same. People who don't understand that just may be in denial, or they never learned any history.

When you take reality and existence away from philosophy, you end up with Karl Marx. The liberals are thinking of Utopia

and want to control it. When they get there, they will find out how unreal it really is, because the closer you get to it, the farther

away it becomes. They will end up killing themselves off while they are in the process of killing everything else off.

Liberalism=Death. No basis in reality.

I've heard some of the talking heads that are a little soft on gun rights even saying he shouldn't go the EO route. It's not that they don't want to ban guns, it's that they fear the backlash it will cause.

The way I see it, a lot gun owners will be up in arms if some gun control passes through congress. If he signs a EO, all gun owners (and some that aren't) will be up in arms. It becomes more than a gun issue then, it also becomes a power issue.

Republican lawmakers are starting to get tired of BHO thumbing his nose at them. This will just add to that and hopefully push them to action.

Apparently, "Shall not be infringed" is still too difficult to comprehend

Well, let's see -- it wasn't understood in 1935, 1968, 1986, 1993, or 1994, but this time will be different?

Don't forget 1989.  It was the 1934 NFA, 1968 GCA, 1986 FOPA, 1989 George HW Bush executive order, and 1994 AWB.  Every one of them un-Constitutional and an infringement on the 2nd.  Anyone ever read Unintended Consequences by John Ross?
