90gr in a 357 Sig

I first loaded this round about 4 years ago. I remember it being quite a pain in the butt to load because the bullets are so small. Now, I think the bullets I used back then were Zero brand.

I wanted to revisit that load and bought some Sierra HP/XTP bullets. I'm not as happy with these rounds as I was the earlier ones I had done. The old bullets (possibly Zero) had more of an ogive, and the opening in the hollow point was really big. In some backyard ballistics I performed, they were completely absorbed into a gallon can of water, no over penetration. These Sierras I bought really have no ogive at all. Flat sided, and a small hole in the hollow point.

Anyone else load a round similar to this? I want a really light weight bullet to push from a 357 Sig with a big hollow point hole.

I use a 380 bullet in 38 sp & 9mm, not quite the data you seek but close enough, it should be doable in the sig as well.   I am using the gold dot 380 for some of it, most of it is a LRN paper puncher.
