Larry Ward - Gun Appreciation Day - Sigh

TGO David, I see you're endorsed the Gun Appreciation Day thang, and of course nothing personal, but I am nonetheless compelled to opine:

Who is this guy? I can't find anything about him.

 

 

I've now seen him on several news programs, just saw his longest interview, with a relatively benign weekend MSNBC Live anchor compared to their A team bullies.

 

He's quite the inept speaker, more "ums" and "ers" and "wells" than anything else.  Absolutely ineffectual pitted against a sharp witted interviewer, especially one with an anti-gun agenda, don't think he completed a sentence with over five words in it.

 

Not to mention the wisdom of throwing this thing on MLK weekend, and a day before the re-anointment of our first black prez. Which of course has now really busted wide open with his "blacks wouldn't have been slaves if they'd had guns" type statements, however much you or I may agree with the sentiment.

 

And to top it off, he's going on Al Frigging Sharpton's show on Monday to discuss that. Another fool's errand, indeed. Definitely seeing why the NRA has not endorsed this whole thing.

 

Judging by the overall sampling of our most prominent news-makers recently, beginning to think we should adopt this as our public relations logo:

Well, Larry Ward will never be a Demosthenes, but he did get out some complete sentences,  as amazingly Sharpton did allow him the gaps to do it. Although the whole thing pretty much fulfilled my "fool's errand" prediction.

 

I still find it absolutely astounding that I can't find anything about Ward, age,  profession, resident state, I mean nada. That seems eerie.

Our endorsement is for the event itself as a way to support the firearms industry and to get the word out that we prefer that our Second Amendment rights are not trampled by the Obama Administration.  Our endorsement is not for Larry Ward or any other person. 

 

If Jesus Christ Himself would descend from the heavens and sponsor a pro-2nd Amendment event, I'd gladly choose that one to support over one organized by Larry Ward, you, or I.  Barring something promoted by an infallible deity with an eloquent speaking ability, this event seems like a reasonable one to support despite the fact that the guy who came up with the idea doesn't seem to have spent very much time with Toastmasters.

 

It's pretty simple.  You're a smart guy, Oh Shoot... I'm surprised that Occam's Razor failed you and you didn't draw this conclusion for yourself.  :)

I notice he has not seemed to have any comment at all regarding the state capitol demonstrations being piggybacked onto The Day.

 

With the almost total lack of coordination of those both overall and individually so far, I'm quite concerned about one or more of them going south and shooting us in the foot.  Again.
