If someone came onto your property and shot your pet or livestock what would you do? (happened this morning with a domestic bird).

Buy 3 more roosters to replace it, then set up a video camera, record the next criminal act and have the courts remove his right to own a firearm.

Shooting an animal, even a beloved pet, is not sufficient to justify the use of deadly force against them.  Only if you can demonstrate a reasonable fear that the person placed you or another human being at risk of death, you are not legally authorized to use deadly force.

thanks - sheriff's dept was here.

I didn't see anyone when it happened (I'm slow/use a walker) - just heard the shot and my male tick-eater (guinea) is shot in the side.
