how did this get on cnn?!

I keep telling you, CNN is the middle ground in the media of the big three.

People who disagree just don't watch enough MSNBC, or just too much FOX, or just don't understand the statistical breakdown of the citizenry anymore.

And that's why CNN has the worst ratings of the three -- because America is more polarized than since 1865. Moderates are not in vogue.

I'm right where I was ever since I was a kid. I've seen the shift in this country to the left. That's why yesterdays centrist is today's right wing extremist in the eyes of the newer generations and the left-wing that indoctrinated them.

Yep.

CNN is lunatic left if could have been judged from the 50's, far left from the 60's-70's.

I think it was pretty well centered for a while after it began in the 80's, moved further left in the 90's, and stayed there -- which is now about as centered as any MSM out there. Sadly true.

I keep telling folks to watch a bit of MSNBC weekday prime time now and then. You've got to know the face of the pure enemy. I personally think MSNBC may have delivered most of those 4 million votes for BHO.

That kind of brings up Beck's book, "Overton Window", doesn't it? Political trends and media shifting through time.

The Overton Window is much more than a book by Glenn Beck. From Wikipedia: The Overton window is a political theory that describes as a narrow "window" the range of ideas that the public will find acceptable, and that states that the political viability of an idea is defined primarily by this rather than by politicians' individual preferences.[1] It is named for its originator, Joseph P. Overton,[2] a former vice president of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.[3] At any given moment, the “window” includes a range of policies considered politically acceptable in the current climate of public opinion, which a politician can recommend without being considered too extreme to gain or keep public office.

By suggesting extreme ideas  that aren't currently acceptable, the window is moved a little at a time, to include policy that was previously outside the "window"

I read it. It's fictional account based on that theory. That's just the way it came out of my brain, at the moment. Explains a lot, doesn't it?

Sorry but because cnn is not as commie left as msnbc does not mean they are anywhere near the center. I have watched why to much cnn and endured way to much soledad obryan, puts morgan, ali v, etc to not think cnn is just another left wing messenger. I chalk this up to a blind squirrel. Cnn is a dumpster fire and they are simply throwing the middle right a bone. . Edited by 1pointofview

Why would anyone that still loves their liberties and freedoms continue to support these lame brain liberal MSM outlets with viewership and subscriptions. Hit these commies where it hurts the most, and that's in the bottom line. I refuse to support any commie liberal MSM.

That is a thought. The left has started to hit those that support us. Perhaps we should take a play from our adversaries and send emails to those who advertise with MSN to let them know they have lost a customer.

I see you didn't notice the last presidential election, or pay much attention to national polls.

Just because CNN is way left of you and your peer group doesn't mean it's not pretty much statistically in the center as per overall population.

Again, chain yourself to a few prime time nights in front of MSNBC. That's the left nowadays.

At one time it was the Clinton News Network.   With the exception of their "Talk Shows" they have moved to the middle of the three.  Watch MSNBC on a Sunday morning and you will see just how anti American they are.

When I went to look at this, another opionion piece on the page was entitled "One Way to Defeat the NRA".

If you get XM tune into "Left" once in a while.  Not only will their opinions make you sick to you stomach, but they drop f-bombs talking about us.  That's the kind of vitriol over there.
