Doesn't surprise me, could probably explain a good percentage of empty shelves. Glad y'all scored! I feel so bad for Jimmy. Lol

Here's what I want to know... all of these folks on Craigslist, GunBroker, etc are selling 10-20-30 boxes of the impossible to find bulk pack .22lr's. You can't tell me they just get lucky by getting to Walmart in time. There is some serious behind the scenes brother dealing going on. It's sad, but it's reality. How are the same people on these sites able to get, keep, and sell more 550 Bulk pack that a WHOLE entire region of Walmart gets in a damn month!! Riddle me that one!!

'jimmy' might be the reason the Nashville west store as of today has an ammo case full off fishing reels and lures instead of ammo....

I saw an interesting thread on another website that was interesting. Guys who are buying this stuff in MASSES and selling it all over the net have made a serious business for themselves... It would indeed be hilarious to see some of these big sellers go to jail for not paying tax on "income"... The largest seller on GB for bulk pack ammo sells about 50 bulk packs a week... WHERE in the heck does he get this stuff? My best friend and I bought a bunch from him. Nice guy from the northwest, but man o man... who only knows. I asked if he was a dealer and he said " I do it out of my garage for side money"... Now, it's not fair for me to say what he buys it for and what he sells it for. That's his business really. It was just an interesting point a guy brought up about guys who have just made a killing during this crisis paying up....

I have decided it is better to just stay out of walmart entirely. I have stated many times that I hate the damn place anyway. Ammo was the only thing I bought there. Only because it is the only place to buy it here. The last time I was in there the girl that is the dept. mgr. and the clerk guy would not even look me in the eye. I guess the easy money is too much for some people.

That's it... I am with you. I hate it too... go in through the auto service, straight to sporting goods, see empty shelves, walk back out... I am getting tired of this let down..

You'd think it was the Soviet Union with hoarding scarce commodities and bare shelves and reports of people saving commodities for friends and a thriving black market. Thank you to the Communist Dictator, the God-Emperor Barack Hussein Obama and all his minions and strap hangers -- you are all @$$#oles and bring out the @$$#ole in others. This is not capitalism -- this is a stinking socialistic favored-group nightmare pale shadow parody of capitalism, managing a shortage in a land of plenty. What else is being destroyed? What's next -- joining a line in a store because it's a line, before finding out what the line is for?

I'm sticking with my local gun store, which has a modest supply of ammo at reasonable prices, an honest approach to selling it, and enough sense to head off the w#ores that would exploit the rest of their customers.

Walmart south of OHB on Nolensville Rd. has had bare shelves for months, they used to always have a decent selection. On a related note, the last few times I have gone to the range the crowds seem quite a bit thinner than just a few weeks ago.

Oh that Walmart is selling before the shelves. I've been told by Walmart employees that their employees are the worst with ammo sales. Walmart needs to start busting some ass for screwing its customers with corrupt employees.

This ammo deal should hopefully shake some people up. If the scarce supply was food the chaos would come quick and the search and lines would be pointless. We have always been halfazz peppers but I at least try to keep enough cornmeal, home canned green beans, and turnip greens, to feed my kids at least cornbread and turnip greens for 3-6 months.

The people that don't shoot or mess with guns don't know what a shortage is and this compared to food is nothing.

A Facebook friend that I've noticed has posted organic-local produce-etc. posts in the last year or so commented the other day about what she would do in a food run/shortage. And she was worried. I posted "No worries Lacey just get some deer steaks out of the freezer and maybe some beans and squash. Some people can't do that or won't eat a squirrel. They can't grow anything and all. I've always heard most stores carry 3 days worth of food. If the day ever comes it's gonna be bad and go downhill fast. If hood rats can't use ebt cards to buy food expect riots instead if patient lines. And once they steal all the stuff suburban yuppies will be be rioting to survive.

So if Walmart ain't got ammo I buy a bag of self rising cornmeal mix. I know real deal peppers stock other stuff (and we do too) but we like cornbread in my family and in a pinch I could get by on it alone while my kids eat the better stuff.

And on the flip side, these extreme hoarders better have a gun pointed on every degree of a circle... because when it comes to food, people will overtake them like there is no tomorrow. These extreme hoarders on TV who brag about having 1-2 years worth of food and " by God I got my AR ready for anybody who tried to take it"... well, when scavengers moving in packs of 20-30 busting down doors comes... hope you can reload fast. I try not to think that paranoid. Many 3rd world countries are living and they have it way worse than us. I just trust in God.

That's what the claymores are for on each side of the driveway and at each entrance to the house!  :)

When ever SHTF happens, I'll either head to a more fortified location at my dad's or find some other family member.  I'm not worried about the ammo shortage right now, go to Wal-mart to look on occasion but i haven't bought in a while as there usually isn't any ammo i'm needing( have some, just always good to have more).

Think Wal-mart needs to look into a more detailed background check on it's employees if it happens to be the employees who are causing the shortage at wal-mart. I would rather buy from my LGS but every LGS is either overpriced or they don't have it either.
