The 2 best 9mm in my collection......

Beretta 92FS

Sig Sauer 2022

Seems to be a lot of tupperware salesman on here peddling glocks :puke:

I don't particularly like the way the M&P's look so I don't personally own one, however...

My son and a couple of friends have the M&P9 and I shot them a few times. Combined they have maybe 3-4K rounds down range with ZERO problems. Actually, I've never personally talked to anyone who had any problems with the M&P line of handguns.

Based on the above, sounds like it's more than a winner.

I was going to get a M&P for my next handgun, however a local gun guru talked me into ordering the Springfield XDM 5.25 Comp in 9mm and i'll tell you what i think when it comes in, but it looks sexy for a XD.

Choosing from your list, I'd pick the S&W M&P...........then carry it to Guns and Leather and trade it in on a Glock 19.

THAT just ain't right :yuck:

CZ-75 for 9mm.  Mine has over 40,000rds and still going strong.  All I've replaced are the springs, three magazine springs, and one magazine body with a broken floorplate tab.

For .45, just get a decent 1911.  At the cheap end, I have a Rock Island made in the Philippines that only has a couple of thousand rounds through it, but has been reliable so far.

For 9mm, I would recommend th M&P 9 or 9c. 45 acp the M&P 45c, Sig P220 (full size) or Kahr CW45.

The only one I don't have is the P220, but I've owned several and they are accurate and a pleasure to shoot. I'm trying to find a used one now. LOL with your choice.

You won't go wrong with a Glock, I have a 19 and a 26 but rarely carry them, for some reason I always reach for my Kahr PM9 in 9mm or my 3" 1911 or XDs in .45.

I think I have my new favorite 9mm.  I just got the CZ-SP01 Shadow Target from CZ Custom.  OMG you wouldn't believe how sweet it is!  Next for me is my XD Tactical with a Powder River Precision trigger job.

As for .45, my Dan Wesson is the clear favorite, followed by a custom Springfield GI.

Glock 2nd Gen 19 or 17. I own both and they feel great. I've held a p30 and really liked it. I just don't like the price. Edited by zybysco

Best 9mm for carry, (and I've had many) is the Kimber Solo carry. Best .45 I've ever carried (again, I've had many) is the Colt New Agent.

I cannot make any comments about the 9mm options in your list as I am a SIG guy.

As to the Kimber 1911, I would also look at other manufacturers.  SIG Sauer produces over 30 1911 models in various configurations (plus a few .22 models); Springfield Armory also makes fine 1911s as well as Colt.  S&W puts out a pretty good 1911; so does Remington and Ruger, although I have heard about them and not actually shot a Remington or Ruger.  I would think that all of the 1911s listed above would be in a similar price range of the Kimber.

From your list I would buy the M&P 9MM and 45, if it was me personally buying under the carry class take away M&P and replace with Glock(Cant stand M&P factory triggers), if I wasnt necessarily looking to carry and wanted a fun gun to shoot I would go HK USP Tactical in 45 and CZ75 Tactical Sport in 9mm(Both models are large guns and $1k+ roughly though)they are hands down 2 of my favorite handguns to take to the range.
