Greetings Everyone,

Well after 20 years in the US Army, its time to settle down in the wifes hometown, looking forward to being back in the south after living all over the world. At the moment living in Colorado and will be in TN by the end of the month. Looking forward to meeting and making new friends with other gun owners in the Knoxville area. I know one thing I have to do once I get there and get settled is obtain my concealed carry permit, becasue here in Colorado you can Open Carry without a permit. I know in TN to open carry or conceal carry you must have a license so I gotta make sure I get hot on that once I get there.

Talk with everyone soon!!!

Thank You for you long service to our Country. And you will be very welcomed to live the the Free State of Tennessee, so long as it lasts.

I think you've picked a highly active forum to announce on, and you'll find quite a few of the guys here in your new hometown area. From my contacts with them, I'd say you'll be in good company.

Welcome to Tennessee and TGO.

Welcome aboard William, and Thank you for your service to our Nation.

Knoxville is a good town and for the most part "gun centric"...lots of gun folks, shooters, and some decent places to shoot.

Here's a link or two related to the primary range where I and several area members of TGO shoot and compete.

Let us know when you're settled in and we'll do some shooting.

William,

I am from the Knoxville area and will boast that it is a great place to live. Do you have any idea which area you are headed for? N-S-E-W? Knowing that, we can give you a heads up.

I was raised on the North side in Powell...

Clinton is a good community my Friend.

And you'll have great access to several places to hike, camp, and of course shoot.

I work just over in Oak Ridge.

I'm sure some good Clinton folks will chime in.

Welcome to Tennessee! Clinton is a great area and it's just spread out enough to not feel to cityish if you know what I mean. If you're looking for a great place to shoot check out the places mentioned in an earlier post. I would be happy to show you around the ORSA facilities in Oak Ridge if time permits.
