Wallyworld is the largest employer in the U.S. If they were to shut all doors for a week and threaten to close down that would put the stock market in a free fall. I know that's a far fetched scenero but all I am saying is that Wallmart is a very powerful corperation, they could cause some trouble for the economy if they really wanted to, a big corp like Walmart can push alot of political buttons.

Wallyworld has a plan to video tape gun sales, make it so LEO can look at who is buying if a crime is done with the firearm they sold.

Gona keep there own records for later, if a gun was sold that was used in a crime, if the person the bought the gun came back to buy another gun they would turn them down, and then it is just a call to LEO to tell them.

Their way of getting on the good side to keep their FFL.

They only sell guns and ammo because it makes them money, nothing more, nothing less. If they stop making money on guns, they will quit selling them. If they are given a option to keep selling guns and make even more money, they will be all for it.

I'd disagree with you. Wal-Mart makes its money from selling food, toilet paper and Tylenol- not from guns & ammunition. They'll keep these because customers do look to purchase them. Not because they make a lot of money on them.

Perhaps Corporate does not know this, but the firearms community is disgusted by Mr. Bloomberg's anti-2nd Amendment antics. Walmart's association with blatantly anti-gun organizations does not please me at all.

 

I will be watching Walmart's position very closely. I must say, that Walmart's reply *has not* assuaged my concerns.

Been watching Walmart website for past 2-3 weeks.  Sig M400 listed on it every day.  Removed 2 days ago.  Colt AR still listed there.

All said and done, WallyWorld is still the best bet for quality practice ammo. I buy WWB FMJ ammo in the big boxes in both .38 Spcl and .40S&W. I couldn't afford to buy it at my gun shop, priced out of sight. The mail order places are always out of stock. For many of us in rural TN, WALMART is our main source of ammo.
