Illinois illegal immigrants to driver's licenses

They just told on the news that Illinois is going to give illegal immigrants driver's licenses.  In short they said it will make the roads safer because they will have to pass a driving test and that they are already driving so this way they will have a license?

 

I have complained about this type of law ever since I believe CA did it first many years ago.

 

What is up with those in power?  I guess they really are trying to give this country away.

 

I swear those making the laws do not understand what they are passing, the Key work, illegal.

 

Don't get me wrong, I am OK with legal immigration.  I have a very good friend that just last year became US Citizen.  I went though the entire process while maintaining a very good job.

Tennessee already tried this. It didn’t work for them and it won’t work for Illinois. I remember when Tennessee was handing out driver’s license to illegals, when I went to work at 6am there was a line around the block at the driver’s license station.

 

When Tennessee did it there was talk in other states of not accepting Tennessee driver’s license as bond on traffic tickets or allowing it as a form of ID.

 

Of course all this is moot, Obama is going to open the borders and also allow them to vote.

 

 

State Farm Insurance, a major insurer headquartered in Illinois, said the legislation could present challenges for insurance companies in assessing the driving record of illegal immigrants, but the company would implement the law.

"Just because you have a driver's license of any kind doesn't mean you'll get insurance," said spokeswoman Missy Dundov. "We have to consider all the information available."

 

There goes a rate increase for all of us.

In Illinois you have to have proof of insurance to get a license. They will get it, then let it lapse, causing more secretarial work for the insurance companies and resulting in a rate increase. At least that is what they said years ago when Illinois passed the insurance law.

Or they will just make copies or fabricate an insurance card. They are pretty good at making other kinds of fake documents, and insurance card shuld be a cake walk for them.

Sorry, I meant registration. They also send out questionnaires at random requiring your policy information.

Most of the "undocumented workers" working on my project each have a stack of driver's licenses.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- The Illinois House has approved legislation allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver's licenses.

House lawmakers approved the bill 65 to 46. The measure now heads to Gov. Pat Quinn's desk, who has said he'll sign it.

The licenses would not be used for identification purposes like to board a plane.

 

 

If I lived in that state I would want the reps to really explain this.  Maybe Border Patrol should be at the drivers license office.

Seriously it seems the more wrong, the more right it is.
